MK STEELBUILT is a licensed Structural Steel Contractor delivering complete solutions for Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMBs) and structural-steel projects. We serve clients nationwide — with a focus on the Western and Southern U.S. — providing everything from engineered design coordination and steel supply to foundations (via licensed partners) and professional installation.
Our goal is simple: to make every metal-building project more predictable, efficient, and built to last.
Our Story
We began as a metal building erection company, assembling a wide range of pre-engineered systems across the Western U.S. Years in the field revealed the same costly patterns repeating on too many projects — issues that didn’t start during construction but long before materials ever reached the site.
What We Saw (Common Causes of Delays & Rework)
• Missing or incorrect materials that stall schedules or force expensive substitutions.
• Components cut, punched, or fabricated incorrectly because shop drawings weren’t reconciled to the final structural and architectural plans.
• Structural and construction drawings that didn’t align, causing confusion, field modifications, and delays.
• Shipments incomplete or delivered out of sequence, creating staging inefficiencies and change orders.
How We Solved It
We restructured MK STEELBUILT from the ground up — structurally, and strategically — to close the gaps we experienced firsthand in the field.
By aligning design coordination, engineered supply, and professional installation under one experienced steel contractor, we create a stronger framework for how metal building projects get done.
The refined process ensures accuracy before fabrication and efficiency once materials reach the field:
• Early design coordination with the project team.
• Submittal management and verification of shop drawings against approved plans.
• Pre-release review of fabrication details, loads and connections.
• Delivery inspection and unloading coordination (optional but strongly recommended) to verify materials, flag discrepancies early, and staging for smooth installation.
